How do I… set backgrounds and wallpapers?

You can add your own background for each room in your Control4 system for a more personalized experience.  

Let’s change the background for the Living Room. To start, tap the Control4 icon to get to the experiences menu. And then tap settings.  

Tap the arrow to get to the settings for your Control4 system. And then tap Wallpapers.  

We wanted to change the background for the Living Room. You can swipe to scroll through the images pre-loaded into your Control4 system, and Tap one to select it.   

If you are using the Control4 App on a smartphone or a tablet, you can also tap the plus sign to choose a picture from the photo library, or even take a photo to use.   

Tap add, and we will choose a photo from your tablet’s photo library. We recommend you use an image that is landscape so that it fits the touchscreens and the OnScreen menu on your TV. We recommend using darker images with simple designs to make it easy to see the icons and read the words on the interface.  

Select the image you want to use. Phones are used upright, portrait style, so a red rectangle is presented to allow you to select the portion of the image you want to use for the background on the phone. Then tap the check to upload the image and then tap the check to save your selection. And that’s how you set your own backgrounds!
