How Do I... Watch Apple TV?
How do I… watch the Apple TV?
You can control your Apple TV with your Control4 system, reducing the number of remotes you need to keep lying around.
The Apple TV would appear in the Watch experience of the user interface. Inside you see all of your available video devices. Tap Apple TV to select it. Your Control4 system will automatically take care of the rest: all the right devices will turn on, and they will switch to the appropriate inputs.
Meanwhile, the interface automatically jumped to the Device control page. Here you can control your Volume with a tap or with the slider, as well as the option to mute.
While on the Apple TV menu, I can tap the directional pad to move up/down/left/right to select a streaming service, and then navigate around again and tap to select what I would like to watch. And once the show begins I can play/pause or skip forward or skip back.
The menu button would open the menu for that movie, or for that streaming service, while Home would take me back to the Apple TV’s main menu.
This button brings up the Gesture Pad where you can swipe up, down, left or right, and you can tap to select. The menu and cancel – or back – buttons are still available if needed.
If you want to return to the traditional Device control page, tap device control here.
If you want to finish your movie in another room, tape Share Media, tap the circle to select which room you want to add, and tap done.
When you are done, just tap the Power button to turn everything off. And that’s how you watch Apple TV!
