How Do I... Control My Thermostat?

How do I… control my thermostat?

Your thermostat is easily controlled through the Control4 System.

Tap Comfort and then tap Thermostat to see your thermostat options and settings. In the Navigation Bar, Temperature is currently selected, showing us the current temperature and our two Temperature setpoints.

Currently, the temperature is above the blue setpoint, which turned on the air conditioner, and lit the temperature dial blue. If the temperature falls below the orange setpoint, the heater will turn on, and the temperature dial will turn orange. If the temperature is between the two set points, the temperature dial will gray out, and the air conditioner or heater will stop.

If you wish to change the two setpoints together, tap up or down to increase or decrease both numbers. You can also tap one of the setpoints and then tap up or down to change that setpoint individually. You may also drag a setpoint around the temperature dial to the desired value.

Tap mode, the first icon with the flame and snowflake, to set the Thermostat mode: off, heat, cool, auto and emergency heat. Tap fan to set the fan to on, auto, or circulate.

Presets are pre-configured setpoints that can be for quick selection, and can also be used within a schedule to automate climate control.

Tap humidity in the navigation bar to view the current humidity level, and change the setpoints to humidify or dehumidify the house.

Tap Schedule if you wanted to create an automated climate control system using the presets. We will look into creating your own presets and scheduling them in another video.

Tap extras to toggle your temperature scale between Fahrenheit and Celcius, so set the HVAC system into air cleaning mode, and to reset any HVAC or service reminders. And that’s how you control your thermostat!
